The Capital Project Coordinator will manage the unit’s capital portfolio, coordinate with DOT units and city agencies, and manage community partnership projects through each stage of the capital process. Responsibilities include community outreach, project scoping, design, construction, and long-term maintenance. Close coordination with community partners and organizations is required.

Assist and lead initiatives related to the NYC Streets Plan, NYC DOT’s five-year transportation plan to improve the safety, accessibility, and quality of the City’s streets. Responsible for maintaining tracking of progress toward the Streets Plan goals, including working with various internal planning and implementation units. Lead efforts to improve internal project process mapping, create an evaluation process for past projects, and conduct research on best practices in peer cities.
