Job Description
As a Motive Automotive Service Technician, you will be a key member of the Connected Devices/Hardware team. Both a technologist and a resourceful problem solver, the successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of Motive Hardware, industry best practices, Automotive networking technologies and protocols, and optimal installation practices. Motive is seeking a skilled Vehicle Protocol Technician to join the team.
As a Vehicle Technician (Specialist), you will be responsible for installation, connectivity and feature quality of telematics devices within customer vehicles, ensuring high-quality data availability and reliability. When critical telematics data fields are missing, you will inspect vehicles, collaborate with the larger telematics team and provide solutions. This role is ideal for an engineer who is a strong, independent worker ready to take on new challenges, and eager to work with cutting edge technology and will be required to travel 30-40% of the time.
