The Role:
- Join Sierra magazine as an Editorial Fellow, an early career journalist gaining hands-on experience in magazine publishing.
- Work from Oakland, CA or remotely, reporting to the Editor in Chief.
What You'll Do:
- Write weekly articles and dispatches for the online edition and short pieces for print.
- Fact-check and proofread articles, and develop your own story ideas.
- Attend editorial meetings, participate in writing workshops, and support social media strategies.

- A self-starter with strong writing, research, and editing skills and an interest in environmental and social justice.
- Committed to evolving your understanding of systemic oppression and bringing a constructive, uplifting attitude.
