Associate Software Engineer (Remote in Scotland)

We have an opportunity for someone new to software development and DevOps that wants to experience both. Learn industry standard tools like GitHub source control and pipelines, Azure Hosting, Azure Devops, Kubernetes, and Terraform to name a few. Use that knowledge to develop a custom JavaScript application that keeps product information up to date in a dynamic way with little to no maintenance. Then deliver that information to Engineering and SaaS Operations in ways that accelerates their development of hosted products. As an Associate Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain features for two custom applications used for R&D teams to find information and deploy dev/test environments. Programming languages are java/nodeJS and javascript/react. You will also develop scripts and API’s to link data from multiple data sources into MongoDB and/or a relational database. You will understand Github source control and build github actions to ensure pipelines meet release criteria. Learn security tooling like BlackDuck, Prisma, Polaris and RiskSense and ensure our application is current on all issues found as an example of best practices. You will also understand your user base by becoming familiar with automated environment provisioning for development teams using Terraform, Kubernetes, Maven and Helm.
