Job Description
The Systems Engineer is responsible for design, analysis, configuration and maintenance of complex systems, based on a knowledge of systems engineering, scripting concepts and techniques. Systems engineering is a specialized area of IT systems engineering focused on Operating Systems software that operates/controls computer endpoint hardware and provides a platform for running end user applications. Includes operating systems, device drivers, utilities, and software; automation tools (e.g., scripting languages such as PowerShell etc.)
The Systems Engineer work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. The Systems Engineer oversees and/or modifies endpoint systems software for use internally, conducts requirements gathering and analysis, automates tasks utilizing the appropriate toolset, and supports endpoint Operating System software testing, deployment, and maintenance activities by correcting errors and automating enhancements.
