Job Description
The Credentialing Coordinator will be responsible for timely and accurate credentialing activities, including interactions with insurance companies and keeping accurate records. They will gather necessary information and documentation needed for credentialing direct care staff with payors and maintain records and manage provider profiles with internal credentialing software and databases.
This role involves communicating approvals and status updates to appropriate department leads and maintaining information in client management system to allow staff to bill properly. The coordinator will complete re-credentialing applications upon request from payor and work closely with the credentialing team and billing staff to identify and resolve any denials or authorization issues related to provider credentialing. Other duties will be assigned as needed.
