Back-End Engineer

We are building an AI-powered personalization platform designed to revolutionize how audiences interact with news. This initiative will harness machine learning and generative AI to deliver dynamic, user-centric experiences—including intelligent story summarization across evolving news updates, personalized story tracking, and tailored content delivery via web, mobile, and notifications. The system is being developed on a modern, scalable cloud-based architecture to support real-time personalization at a global scale - that's why this Back-End Engineer is a key position to leverage the project. Responsibilities: - Build and expose APIs (Summarization, Follow Story, Catch-Up); - Integrate with Brightspot CMS (Publishing & Delivery); - Implement notification routing rules (OneSignal/Sailthru); - Ensure performance, reliability, and error handling.
