Responsibilities:
- Own the WordPress back end, including custom post types, taxonomies, custom fields, and template logic.
- Maintain a disciplined plugin strategy and upgrade cadence for PHP, WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
- Own site reliability and infrastructure: uptime monitoring, caching, CDN, database optimization, and automated backups.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional back-end web development with substantial WordPress experience.
- Strong PHP and MySQL, fluency with WordPress APIs, and working JavaScript ability.
- Experience with managed WordPress hosting, CDNs, caching layers, and DNS management.
