Role Overview:
- Lead the Networks and Environment pillar for a VA Zero Trust acceleration effort.
- Develop and validate network-focused architecture patterns including segmentation and secure connectivity.
Responsibilities:
- Assess segmentation, microsegmentation, routing, and telemetry requirements.
- Support engineering plans, test cases, implementation validation, and rollback planning.
- Evaluate network security technologies in a vendor-neutral manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of enterprise network engineering or security experience.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, routing, cloud networking, and Zero Trust concepts.
- Preferred: SDN, SASE, ZTNA, or federal environment experience.
