Responsibilities:
- Assist Financial Leadership in providing the vision and objectives for the accounting team and implement better reporting.
- Identify areas for process improvement, design solutions, and supervise effectively to drive out excess costs.
- Provide training and development opportunities, and design, implement, and maintain standardized accounting practices.
Operations:
- Work closely with business units’ finance staff, Internal Audit, Corporate staff, external auditors, and offshore resources.
- Oversee the general ledger and sub-ledger production process, providing application instruction and problem-solving.
- Manage quarterly SOX compliance for areas of responsibility and ensure the accuracy and adequacy of internal controls.
Team & Development:
- Staff and develop the financial accounting team, including setting goals and performance measures.
- Evaluate performance and provide feedback, and effectively manage the work product of the Off-Shore group.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and foster acceptance of change within the team.
