Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end tax workflows for a portfolio of federal, state, and local agencies, handling notice resolution, filings, and compliance.
  • Communicate directly with partners to translate complex agency interactions into clear, honest updates about their notices or tax accounts.
  • Balance and reconcile tax accounts within your agency portfolio, surfacing discrepancies and driving to resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Possess 3–5 years of experience in payroll tax, tax operations, compliance, or notice resolution, with meaningful exposure to agency communication.
  • Demonstrate genuine comfort on the phone with tax agencies and in professional written communication to partners.
  • Be organized and methodical, capable of managing a portfolio of open issues across multiple agencies without letting things slip.
