C++/C Software Developer (Independent Contractor)

Role Overview:

• This is a remote, fixed-term contract role focused on modernizing a mission-critical telecommunications call-handling platform.
• You will work hands-on with C++ and Linux systems, migrating legacy 32-bit subsystems to a modern 64-bit architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate 32-bit C++ call-handling subsystems to 64-bit architecture and support OS migration from CentOS 7 to RHEL 9.
• Contribute to Java-based web configurator modernization and participate in testing, CI/CD, and security activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional C++ development on Linux, plus strong Bash scripting and networking knowledge.
• Ability to work independently as an independent contractor in Canada with excellent English communication.
