Mortgage Loan Officer SME

Role Overview:

• As JazzX’s Mortgage Loan Officer SME, you own how loan officer workflows and borrower interactions are defined and operationalized into the product.
• You will work with product managers and engineers daily to translate domain knowledge into detailed requirements and acceptance criteria.

What You’ll Do:

• Work representative borrower scenarios across purchase, refinance, FHA, VA, conventional, and non-QM contexts from inquiry through submission.
• Document questions, data, calculations, and judgment calls in a format implementable as product behavior.
• Capture how loan officers handle friction points like marginal credit, complex income, and competing offers.

Product Design Partnership:

• Embed with the product team as the voice of the loan officer persona, reviewing specs, UX flows, and AI behaviors.
• Define what “good” looks like for AI-assisted conversations, qualification, and pricing presentation.
• Write detailed acceptance criteria and edge cases for loan-officer-facing features.

Validation & Knowledge Transfer:

• Blind-test AI outputs against experienced loan officer handling, quantifying gaps and prioritizing fixes.
• Train product, engineering, and design teams on mortgage sales fundamentals and build playbooks.
