Lead Java Developer – Azure

About the Role:

• We are seeking a strong engineer to lead the development of a new platform for one of the country's most recognisable field operations providers.
• You will ensure we are using the latest technology and best approaches while delivering a stable and highly reliable product.
• You will work with our world-class Optimisation, Data Science and Data Engineering teams to provide robust, cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create enterprise quality Optimisation and ML based solutions, taking responsibility for technology selection, API design, and establishing core patterns.
• Lead the development team in implementing functional and non-functional requirements, and review code to drive improvement.
• Contribute to deployment pipelines and cloud IaC deployment packages, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure architectural soundness.

Requirements:

• Excellent understanding of Java 17+, Spring and Spring Boot, with in-depth knowledge of Azure including containerisation and serverless technologies.
• Extensive experience in enterprise software solutions, design patterns, and rigorous quality processes with automated testing and IaC principles.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical principles to both technical and non-technical audiences, plus a working knowledge of Python and Terraform.
