Senior Product Counsel

Role and Responsibilities:

• Support product and engineering teams as a legal partner throughout the product lifecycle, from early development to launch and beyond.
• Integrate privacy-by-design into product development and help build scalable, responsible practices, especially for AI/ML, data privacy, IP, and open-source.
• Advise on and draft technology licensing and integration partnership agreements with strategic product and ecosystem partners.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold a law degree and be admitted to practice in at least one U.S. state, with 4 to 8 years of combined Big Law and in-house tech company experience.
• Possess strong product counseling expertise and a solid command of AI/ML issues, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), open-source licensing, and intellectual property.
• Demonstrate excellent judgment, business orientation, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation and Opportunity:

• Target annual base salary is $250,000 to $275,000, plus equity and a generous benefits package, with total compensation varying by seniority, experience, and location.
