Intermediate Backend (Ruby or Go) Engineer, Gitlab Delivery - Operate

As a Backend Engineer on the GitLab Delivery - Operate team, you will maintain and evolve the GitLab Omnibus package, contribute to the development and maintenance of GitLab Helm Charts, enhance and support the GitLab Environment Toolkit (GET), and support the GitLab Operator project. This role involves ensuring a consistent and reliable installation and upgrade experience, partnering with Security to address vulnerabilities, and building and maintaining automation pipelines for validating and testing deployment tools. You will work closely with Distribution Engineers, SREs, Release Managers, and Development teams to ensure smooth integration of new features into deployment methods. Responsibilities also include creating and maintaining user-focused documentation and ensuring all supported deployment methods are well-tested and meet GitLab’s standards for quality, reliability, and performance.
