Senior Platform Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to build the paved road for product teams and drive adoption of it at scale. You’ll design and operate the developer platform that powers our services. The role focuses on expanding our Backstage portal from greenfield micro-service templating to full-fleet coverage including retro‑onboarding 100+ existing services and enabling repeatable, self‑service upgrades. The role involves partnering deeply with product engineering to close the feedback loop. You will own core platform components: Design, build, and operate Kubernetes, IaC (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, service templates, runtime addons, and shared libraries with SLOs and clear runbooks. You will lead migrations and deprecations: Plan and execute multi‑repo changes (API versioning, SDK upgrades, framework/runtime bumps) with clear comms, docs, and safe rollout strategies.
