Essential skills include understanding NAS protocols (NFS, SMB/CIFS) and SAN technologies (iSCSI, Fibre Channel), hands-on experience with Huawei OceanStor, NetApp ONTAP, and proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, and Bash. The role involves storage system administration, capacity and performance management, data protection and backup, scripting and automation, and maintaining system documentation, all while staying updated on innovations for continuous improvement.
