About the Role:
- AECOM is seeking a Wildlife Biologist II to join our Natural Resources team to help deliver California's most critical surface transportation projects.
- This is a remote, part-time, on-call position focusing on impact analysis for biological and aquatic resources, with emphasis on technical writing and field surveys.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct biological compliance monitoring during active construction projects and surveys for special-status wildlife and nesting birds.
- Prepare technical reports and permit application packages to document findings from surveys and monitoring.
- Maintain strong relationships with AECOM, client, and construction personnel, and organize project files and schedules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, or a related environmental science field, plus 2+ years of relevant experience in biological surveys and monitoring in California.
- Knowledge of common and special-status California wildlife species, with experience in technical writing and plant identification.
Additional Information:
- A valid US Driver's License and US Citizenship are required due to the nature of the work.
