About the role:

  • Senior Backend Engineers work across our backend organisation, with team matching based on strengths and interests.
  • Small, autonomous groups with short release cycles and full ownership from problem definition to production.

What you’ll do:

  • Own backend solutions end to end, from problem definition through production.
  • Design and evolve services for performance, scale, resilience, and data integrity.
  • Make clear technical decisions with understanding of constraints and trade-offs.

What you need to have:

  • Proven ownership of backend services built within a microservices architecture.
  • Strong grasp of communication protocols like HTTP, WebSockets, and AMQP.
  • Deep knowledge of relational databases, including indexing, transactions, and high-performance design.
