Principal TLM, Query Infrastructure

As an engineering manager, you would help scale the team’s impact with hiring, culture and focus. You’ll be responsible for streamlining execution and prioritization based on a clear understanding of our technical systems and associated business goals. Responsibilities include hiring and retaining diverse and talented engineers, mentoring engineers & growing future technical leaders, and working cross-functionally to translate business goals into the team’s roadmap. Nurturing engineering excellence via culture and process is also expected. You will provide meaningful input to technical designs, ensuring the query service uptime and performance SLO/SLAs are met. Working with customers to improve their query performance is another key aspect. The ideal candidate will have experience building, maintaining & scaling reliable, high-volume distributed systems and be able to reason about ambiguous problems from first principles. Strong CS fundamentals are essential as well.
