Director of Procurement

As the Director of Procurement at Chainguard, you will lead the sourcing, purchasing, vendor strategy and contracting for goods and services across the company. You will ensure that procurement aligns with Chainguard’s business strategy, optimizes cost/value, mitigates supplier risks, and supports scale-up operations. You will partner with business stakeholders to deliver operating leverage, supplier innovation, and procurement discipline. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing procurement strategy, leading sourcing and contracting, managing supplier relationships and performance, and building and leading the procurement team. Additionally, this role involves implementing procurement systems, collaborating cross-functionally, monitoring market trends, and overseeing the purchasing lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement/supply chain, strong business partnering skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and familiarity with procurement systems.
