Financial Controller

As a Controller at Swan Bitcoin, you will play a pivotal role in managing various aspects of financial operations and the financial close and reporting of our organization. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of at least 5-10 years of hands-on experience in accounting and/or audit in a public company setting. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives. Your responsibilities include managing day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accurate bookkeeping in compliance with US GAAP accounting standards. You will also oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and accruals, with the objective of ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records. You will prepare financial statements and other accounting memos and disclosures to ensure compliance with key standards such as ASC 606, ASC 718, and ASC 842. Additionally, you will analyze financial reports to provide timely and insightful recommendations to Swan leadership and partner closely with third parties to manage annual audits, filings, taxes, and other corporate accounting activities. You will also assist in the development and documentation of robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial reporting completeness and accuracy, as well as evaluate, design, and implement financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
