Job Description
Patient Care:
-Provide calm, clinically sound guidance over the phone.
-Assess symptoms, determine urgency, and guide patients to safe next steps.
-Handle emotionally charged situations with empathy and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
-Provide telephone triage using Epic’s Nurse Triage module.
-Verify and update patient information, protect privacy under HIPAA, and coordinate with clinic teams.
-Document calls in real time in the EHR while using Epic and contact center tools.
Team and Training:
-Work with a supportive team of nurses and non-clinical colleagues.
-Take part in ongoing training and continuous improvement.
-Receive structured training, clear protocols, and support to build confidence and autonomy.
