Senior Software Engineer - Messaging

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the team's long-term technical strategy, ensuring align with Reddit's scale and growth.
• Refine and maintain messaging infrastructure to support asynchronous communication for hundreds of millions of users.
• Own the infrastructure (managed and self-hosted) that supports produce and consume requests, including tooling and automation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience building internet-scale software, preferably with a focus on machine learning storage infrastructure.
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Golang, Python, C++, Java.
• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, and hands-on implementation in distributed messaging systems.
