Job Description

Manage individual protection claims from initial notification through to final settlement, within agreed authority limits and service standards. Assess claims accurately in accordance with policy terms, conditions, and the client’s claim’s philosophy. Communicate with members, clients, doctors, service providers, intermediaries, reinsurers and FOS as necessary to gather required information related to claims and enquiries. Explain claims processes, requirements, and outcomes clearly and resolve appeals and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner. Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries and service providers. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims function, actively challenging the status quo to drive innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Group Claim Assessors, Underwriting, Actuarial, and Client Services to enhance business knowledge and promote best practices.
