About the role:

  • You will work directly with the Head of the Transformative AI Fund to identify and fund early-stage projects that reduce global catastrophic risks from AI.
  • You will have substantial autonomy in shaping the fund's systems and processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Investigate and evaluate grant opportunities, assessing theories of change, team strength, and expected impact.
  • Communicate grantmaking reasoning transparently through reports and feedback.
  • Source high-quality applications and represent the fund at community events.

What we're looking for:

  • Deep knowledge of AI safety and/or AI governance.
  • Strong analytical skills and judgment under time pressure.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with excellent project management abilities.
