About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for high-quality grantmaking, strategic leadership of the fund, and fundraising.
  • You will make grants yourself while working to grow the fund's capacity over time.
  • You'll have significant autonomy to define the fund's strategic direction and build its donor base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and evaluate grant opportunities rigorously, assessing theories of change and expected impact.
  • Develop a compelling strategy for EAIF's focus areas and role in the funding ecosystem.
  • Grow EAIF's donor base in collaboration with other CEA teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • Genuine commitment to EA principles and careful reasoning about impact.
  • Familiarity with the EA community and its key organizations and debates.
  • Strong social and communication skills to represent the fund professionally.

Other Information:

  • This is a full-time, remote position with preference for time zones between US Pacific and CET.
  • Compensation includes a base salary of $143,123 (US) plus benefits and 401k contribution.
  • Benefits include private health insurance, flexible hours, professional development allowance, and 25 days paid vacation.
