Medical & Disability Nurse Case Manager

Medically manage assigned caseload, applying clinical expertise to ensure individuals receive appropriate healthcare for a timely and cost-effective return to work. Responsibilities include communicating with injured employees, medical professionals, and legal counsel to negotiate medical treatment and return-to-work plans. Utilize the Nursing Process to facilitate medical management to attain maximum medical improvement and return-to-work. Appropriately utilize internal and external resources and referrals. Requires analysis, nursing judgments, strong communication, and negotiation skills. Knowledge of state, local and federal laws related to health care delivery preferred.
