Job Description

As a Family Engagement and Assessment Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for families and carers entering the Early Childhood Approach. Your role is crucial in helping families feel heard, respected and informed about what to expect next. You’ll provide a warm, professional, and timely response to all new enquiries, helping to screen, identify needs, and connect families with the appropriate services – including our Early Years Specialists and other community supports. Your work will help ensure that families understand their journey and feel supported every step of the way. Your day to day will include: Respond to new referrals within five business days and book appointments as needed. Identify the initial needs of children and families and prioritise referrals accordingly. Provide culturally safe, respectful, and trauma-informed interactions with families. Record interactions accurately in the NDIS PACE system and other business platforms. Empower families to make informed choices and understand next steps. Refer families to appropriate mainstream, community or specialised services.
