Job Description

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for day to day task of managing mainly VM / Windows based infrastructure (systems hardware, operating systems, and data center operations.) and end user computing. Assists in planning, organizing, and managing overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organization's I.T. infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly systems infrastructure, server infrastructure, virtualization infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems. The Systems Engineer will be participate in on-call support of all critical infrastructure functions, demonstrate strong abilities to collaborate with vendors, contractors, consultants and other technology groups that operate within the Information Services Department. Administers and supports the Tableau Server platform , ensuring availability, performance, and reliability. Manages user security and permissions on Tableau and SAP Business Objects to meet business and compliance requirements. Coordinates upgrades and deployments of Tableau Server and SAP Business Objects , ensuring minimal downtime and disruption. Ensure SAP Business Objects reporting is functioning optimally , including managing updates and troubleshooting issues. Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively to maintain service efficiency and effectiveness. Develops and maintains technical documentation related to system configurations and procedures. Stays up to date with industry trends and updates related to Tableau and Business Objects, implementing new features and techniques as appropriate.
