Job Description
As a Backend Engineer at Gong, you will be at the heart of building the future of revenue intelligence by tackling meaningful technical challenges, designing systems at scale, and helping shape products that transform how companies understand their customers. You will design and build backend services and APIs using Java, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance. You will own technical projects from architecture and development to deployment and ongoing improvements. Furthermore, you will collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Frontend Engineers to deliver features that solve real customer problems. This role also entails diving into technical challenges to identify root causes and actively shaping Gong’s backend architecture as the company scales.
