Program Chief Engineer

Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers (including space, mission planning, image processing, and software) developing complex engineering solutions in support of a long-term customer program. This position reports within the office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and reports to the Vice President of Systems Engineering. As an individual contributor, this Chief Engineer will routinely collaborate across a diverse set of technical and business leaders within the CTO office and across BlackSky offices. Design, develop and maintain the program architecture spanning BlackSky satellites, ground subsystems (which include mission planning software, ground hardware infrastructure, image processing software, and computer vision algorithms), and customer interfaces. Provide an architectural framework for end-to-end ground system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts.
