Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting aligned with nonprofit standards.
  • Oversee all audit activities, including financial statement audits, Single Audits, and retirement plan audits, while managing Form 990 filings.
  • Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies to maintain a robust control environment and safeguard assets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, plus a CPA designation and preferably an MBA.
  • Proven experience in financial management, nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, and federal funds compliance.
  • Strong people and project management skills, with a commitment to collaboration and customer service.

Compensation and Conditions:

  • Full-time, exempt role with a salary range of $170,000 to $195,000 annually.
  • Option for full-time remote work, with preference for candidates near NYC or Chicago offices.
