Production Editor (Open to Remote)

Responsibilities:

• Handle production editorial work for original titles, both 1-color and 4-color, from manuscript to bound book/ePub.
• Hire freelance copy editors, proofreaders, and indexers, and review their work through all passes.
• Perform quality checks on ebook files and copyedit jacket/cover copy and additional material.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a trade-book production editor or freelancer with comics experience.
• Excellent copyediting, proofreading, and organizational skills; familiarity with The Chicago Manual of Style.
• Expertise with electronic copyediting in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat PDF markup tools.

• The salary for this position is $70,500.00 per year, with eligibility for an annual profit award or bonus.
