Job Description
As a Backend Engineer, you will design and implement highly scalable backend endpoints. You'll gather product requirements and write design docs to satisfy product needs. You will drive/lead full lifecycle of software development, which includes product requirements, architecture, solution design, development, quality assurance, and maintenance. You will mentor others on best practices and effectively share knowledge. A key responsibility is effectively communicating development progress to the product lead, engineering manager, and other stakeholders. You should be comfortable introducing new technologies and new ideas as required. You must proactively act without being told what to do, identify areas of improvement and able to deal with ambiguity. Ownership of projects from start to finish, be organized and able to effectively plan and breakdown large projects into smaller tasks.
