Accountant

To support Jimdo's continued growth, our finance department is currently undergoing a series of innovations aimed at enabling better business insights and analysis. We have the ambitious goal of building a finance function that gives the company structure and direction through well-founded insights into our financial performance. To support this goal, we are looking for an experienced Accountant to strengthen our Accounting team. You will report to the Accounting Manager and work on various projects and strategies to improve our processes in the areas of automation, software implementation and reporting. You will combine your technical expertise with a proactive approach to optimize existing procedures and introduce new processes. In order to ensure Jimdo's compliance with commercial and tax laws, you need in-depth knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) as well as comprehensive tax law expertise. What you can expect at Jimdo: - Support in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB. - Participation in day-to-day business (accounts payable and accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, national and international payments). - Contribute to the preparation and execution of the annual audit. - Support in the preparation and submission of national and international VAT returns, including OSS and recapitulative statements (ZM). - Involvement in the integration of international subsidiaries into the Group. - Evaluation and implementation of process and system improvements through documentation, automation and best practices. - Collaboration with other departments to achieve corporate goals and successfully implement projects.
