Job Description
Claim Follow-up:
- Resolve aged claims via payer portals & outbound phone calls.
- Identify claims needing appeals.
- Assist teammates with projects and denial work queue management.
Denials and appeals:
- Prioritize assigned work queue to ensure timely work is balanced with payable claims.
- Identify non-payment trends, escalating claims to Payer Dispute Resolution or Market Access teams.
- Investigate denial trends, proposing solutions.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience in medical billing; strong preference molecular laboratory billing.
- Understanding of patient protections under HIPAA.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
