Job Description
This Patient Account Representative role at Select Medical involves resolving outstanding insurance claims and ensuring patients are billed accurately. As part of the team, you'll investigate overdue account balances, contacting responsible parties, and resolving issues impacting timely collections. You will review accounts and confirm that claims are reaching the correct payor. You will make calls to patients, insurance companies and attorneys regarding claim status in order to reduce outstanding receivables. You'll also counsel patients on financial options and establish payment plans.
Responsibilities include following up on open account balances, documenting communication, and meeting productivity and cash targets. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred qualifications including healthcare collections experience and proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware issues. This role requires you to work independently and be resourceful in problem solving.
