Associate Water Resource Engineer

NV5 is seeking a mid-level water resources engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join our municipal services team in San Diego. This position would support our Southern California project managers and would include working on a variety of projects to support drainage design and review tasks. We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy collaborating as part of a larger team. Primary Duties will include preparation of drainage studies, hydromodification analysis, detention basin analysis, and assisting in preparation of design plans for civil engineering projects. Performing third-party reviews of other consultants' drainage and water quality reports, and SWPPPs. Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using programs such as AES, CivilDesign, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, WSPG, and StormCAD. Preparation of letter proposals, attending client meetings, and assisting the team with business development opportunities. Secondary duties may include preparation of FEMA Letters of Map Revision (CLOMRs/LOMRs) Preparation/Review of Storm Water Quality Management Plans (SWQMPs) Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) preparation/review
