Key Responsibilities:
- Own database reliability, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and compliance across production environments.
- Partner with Systems, Platform, Security, and Architecture teams to design and implement robust database infrastructure.
Leadership & Development:
- Set direction, remove blockers, and hold the DBA team accountable for operational excellence and disciplined execution.
- Mentor DBAs through technical reviews, training, and onboarding to foster professional growth.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Drive execution of database upgrades, migrations, and technology adoption to support long-term platform modernization.
- Research and plan for growth, fault tolerance, load balancing, and other critical database needs to reduce operational risk.
