Senior Data Scientist

Role Overview:

• The Senior Data Scientist is part of the Product and Care Team Analytics team, accountable for pioneering new data classes and ensuring data is powerful and correct.
• You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, commercial, and clinical teams to transform data into actionable insights that advance Virta's mission.

Responsibilities:

• Act as an embedded data lead, deeply understanding product strategy to identify high-impact opportunities and define key metrics.
• Drive data-informed decision-making by prioritizing analyses, reframing requests, and designing experiments to speed learning.
• Work end-to-end to build data transformation pipelines, dashboards, and reports from the data warehouse to support business needs.

Qualifications and Environment:

• Requires 7+ years of experience in Healthcare Analytics or Data Science, with expertise in SQL, Python, statistical modeling, and BI tools like Looker.
• Must have experience in a fast-paced digital health startup environment and a strong understanding of data security in regulated industries.
