Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in the Specialty Pharmacy-Oncology. As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you will be a registered pharmacist who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of safe, effective, and prompt medication therapy. UCM Specialty Pharmacy supports and provides direct patient care to adult and pediatric populations. Our pharmacists cover pharmacy operations and clinical needs for 15+ specialty ambulatory clinics. This position is designed to support our clinics in Specialty, which include Oncology, Neurology, HIV, Transplant, Rheumatology, and Gastroenterology.
Pharmacist responsibilities include clinical and operational tasks to support specialty pharmacy and provider needs. The pharmacist will work alongside world-renowned providers. Pharmacists will rotate through the Hyde Park campus for one week every 6 to 7 weeks and work from home the remainder of the week. Through various assignments within the department, Clinical Pharmacy Specialists provide support of centralized and decentralized medication-use systems as well as deliver optimal medication therapy to patients with a broad range of disease states.
