Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end reliability and performance of research runs and the RL Science stack.
- Contribute to design decisions that shape how Anthropic conducts RL at scale.
- Operate across the stack, from low-level performance work to RL algorithm integration.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Possesses strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of building performant, reliable systems.
- Has experience with ML infrastructure, distributed systems, or research tooling, and enjoys enabling others' work.
- Exhibits a bias toward shipping and iterating quickly, with high agency and low ego.
Logistics and Culture:
- Role is remote-friendly but requires being in an office at least 25% of the time, with locations in San Francisco and New York City.
