Job Description
You will manage the Kong Gateway engineering team based in Europe. Members of the team are responsible for engineering tasks in different areas of Kong Gateway, the foundational technology for our product offerings, such as router, balancer, plugins development kit (PDK), management API, observability metrics, distributed clustering infrastructure. Responsibilities include hiring, mentoring, and maintaining healthy Engineering teams who value collaboration and innovation. Also, manage shift scheduling, measuring key performance indicators (KPIs), and training, assure high-quality work and SLA. Expected to give constructive feedback to Engineers, conduct 1:1’s, address interpersonal issues, and conduct reviews. Suggest Engineering guidelines, principles, and processes to improve the Engineering org.
