Senior Software Engineer

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and operate customer-facing POS experiences across React Native, Expo, Python, and TypeScript, with a strong focus on usability and reliability.
• Develop offline-first capabilities using SQLite, write-ahead logging, synchronization, retry, and conflict-handling patterns.
• Build and operate Python/FastAPI backend services supporting authentication, staff and device workflows, menus, orders, payments, and hotel-system integrations.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building, shipping, and operating production applications, with strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with modern mobile or frontend development; React Native, Expo, React Query, Zustand, and SQLite experience is highly relevant.
• Solid understanding of relational data modeling, PostgreSQL, caching, API design, distributed systems, and asynchronous or event-driven workflows.

What Sets You Up for Success:

• Experience building point-of-sale or adjacent real-time transactional systems where money, inventory, and people meet at the moment of service.
• Experience building offline-first applications, synchronization engines, or conflict-resolution workflows.
• Strong product sense and customer empathy, grounded in familiarity with hospitality or food-and-beverage operations.
