Job Description

The Contractor shall complete Native Hawaiian cultural projects and related tasks at the Honolulu, HI, site, or at offsite locations as required. Tasks include, but are not limited to: Provides oversight and management of the PMNM Native Hawaiian Program, coordinates, monitors and evaluates annual Native Hawaiian Program plan goals and deliverables, coordinates and supports leadership, staff, co-managing agencies, and other partner organizations on implementing the strategies and activities related to Native Hawaiian cultural access, research, education, partnerships, and overall integration of Native Hawaiian perspectives into daily management of PMNM. Creates and builds partnerships with the Native Hawaiian community and liaise with the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, coordinates with partner agencies in the implementation of Mai Ka Pō Mai, coordinates and plans trips to the monument, completes administrative tasks required to successfully implement the Native Hawaiian Program, provided field camp and training services that integrate Western Science and traditional Native Hawaiian methodologies, manage the pre-access permit briefings to PMNM permittees and participants prior to his/her access to PMNM, with support from other Co-Managers, supports Section 106 compliance for permits as needed, coordinates and leads education and outreach events, public meetings, etc.
