About the Role:
- Lead a cross-functional team of senior Data and Backend Engineers to own the product data acquisition strategy and data processing roadmap.
- Build the resilience and diversification that reduces dependence on any single data source, turning data into a reusable internal platform.
Short Term:
- Establish baseline measurement across data funnel (coverage, pipeline health, quality) to guide architecture and business decisions based on value and cost.
- Drive architecture enabling efficiency with a durable, observable single-record system; make data usable by pushing toward a dynamic system that learns from market trends.
Long Term:
- Build Going's long-term data acquisition strategy that is diversified, cost-efficient, and resilient to any single vendor disruption.
- Turn the data caching and curation layer into a plug-and-play foundation for any future data source, making the platform the compounding advantage behind Going's products.
What You Know:
- 5-8+ years of product management experience with significant time owning data platform or data infrastructure; fluent in APIs, SQL, complex schemas, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with data quality, normalization, vendor relationships, and navigating ambiguity while shipping durable systems; clear async-first communicator.
