Backend Engineer

In this role:

• Build and operate Resend's email transport infrastructure, including SMTP delivery and MTA systems.
• Design systems for throttling, IP pools, warmup execution, and reputation-aware routing.
• Partner with Trust & Safety to build controls that protect the sending network from abuse.

You will be a great fit if:

• You have strong backend engineering experience and have worked on high-volume delivery systems.
• You understand queues, workers, retries, rate limits, backpressure, and distributed systems.
• You care about reliability, observability, and reducing blast radius.

• You have experience with TypeScript and Go, and are interested in email best practices.
