Backend Integrations Engineer

Kraken is seeking a seasoned backend integrations engineer to design secure, scalable systems and reinvent financial systems. In this role, the individual will work on core systems powering payment integrations and treasury operations, at the intersection of crypto and fiat rails. Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable backend services, building and maintaining frontend interfaces, developing reusable libraries and APIs, owning critical components of Kraken’s financial infrastructure, and building robust workflows for auditability and compliance. The engineer will also monitor production systems and collaborate with stakeholders.
